The name FAIL represents the creative process—The Space Between Fails. Trial and error aren’t obstacles but essential steps toward creating something meaningful.
Many still believe working with AI is easy, as if the tools magically do all the work. But the path to extraordinary results is shaped by mistakes and unexpected turns. FAIL captures my creative attempts with AI, where failures often lead to discoveries.
An Instagram comment summed it up perfectly:
“AI does everything for you, and you call it work?”
This booklet exists to show the effort, exploration, and patience behind every project.
There is a persistent curiosity about my creative process with AI. While countless tutorials and guides are provided by AI developers, the fascination endures. At the same time, creators relentlessly populate channels with updates, as if each new tool—appearing almost every 10 minutes—were essential for survival.
This publication does not aim to be another tutorial. Instead, each issue introduces a single project, revealing glimpses of its evolution and uncovering select technical details embedded in the creative journey.
Failure isn’t unique to AI or creativity—it’s a universal constant in progress. Across disciplines, trial and error drive innovation and discovery.
In AI, mistakes often appear absurd or unintentionally comical—like Monty Python’s Ministry of Silly Walks. Animation tools, for example, still generate odd and unpredictable movements. Yet, these missteps reveal the boundaries of possibility and push us to refine our approach.
It’s not just about creating—it’s about embracing the process, learning to fail better, and letting the unexpected shape the final outcome.
This booklet is primarily for my growing Instagram community and supporters—people who appreciate AI but may not be deeply familiar with it. They’re curious about the tools I use and enjoy occasional glimpses into my creative process.
High-level professionals are already familiar with far more complex details, as AI becomes increasingly integrated into creative workflows. Here, I focus on the simplest and most essential aspects to make the overall context clearer and more accessible for a broader audience.
This booklet is my personal creative cave. A space to reflect and better understand how my projects take shape. It’s an opportunity to focus on exploratory and meaningful work, rather than repetitive tasks like animating chicken wings, swapping sneaker backgrounds, or generating generic stock footage.
While such tasks may have their place, they rarely allow for depth or significance.
An image film, TV commercial, or documentary often follows a clear concept, a script, and a linear production process. While useful in product or corporate communication, this approach can result in rigid outcomes—the very thing often criticized about AI.
In contrast, I let my AI work evolve organically, embracing ambiguity and the sudden possibilities AI provides to explore and refine.
I aimed to capture spontaneous, human moments—unpredictable, raw, and full of contrasts. Elements of hip-hop and pop culture merge with an underground aesthetic. It’s a dance between freedom and confinement, energy and stillness. Despite their often solitary and fragile presence, the protagonists convey a subtle sense of belonging. Resistance becomes an act of self-preservation, a way to reclaim strength in moments of vulnerability.
The visuals are accompanied by a retro-inspired hip-hop soundtrack—deliberately “outdated” to reinforce the rebellious character. This time, even the music was generated with AI. What emerges is a flood of fleeting moments that evoke a shared sense of belonging. As soon as one feeling opens up through the visuals, the next cut pulls it away—leaving space for the in-between and the unexpected.
A pianist doesn’t constantly switch instruments—they refine their skills through consistent practice and focus on the music itself. That’s how I approach my work with MidJourney.
My workflow adapts gradually to new tools, but it remains centered on the creative process rather than the tools themselves.
